We have seen an increase in the number of requests for the use of drones around Durham Tees valley Airport (DTVA).

As an airport, our first commitment, as always, is to passenger safety and security. Drones that are used around the airport, in most cases, require permission from Air Traffic Control to ensure they don’t interfere with aircraft movements.

Permission to fly drones can only be given by Air Traffic Control Manager. If you are seeking permission to use drones around DTVA please email; kmaidment@dtva.co.uk

To find out more about flying drones, please visit the UK CAA & NATS Drone Awareness Website or read the EC 'The EU Drone Policy.
